Geoterra to exhibit and speak at the South Wales Safety Group Alliance Annual Conference
We’re pleased to announce that Geoterra will attend the South Wales Safety Group Alliance Annual Conference on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025, at Cardiff City Stadium.
Celebrating 50 Years of the HSE
This year’s event is particularly significant as it marks the 50th anniversary of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), founded in 1975. Under the theme “Health and Safety – The Way Forward,” the conference will bring together industry experts, professionals, and leaders to explore key developments in workplace safety.
Attendees can expect a strong lineup of speakers covering current topics, including:
- The New Building Act and its implications
- The future of occupational health
- Driver safety and its impact on businesses and individuals
- Working at height – risks and mitigation strategies
Our Managing Director, Mark Hudson, has been invited to speak on drone surveying safety at this conference.
Mark will speak at 2pm after lunch, delivering a session titled: “Remote Survey Operations in Inaccessible and Hazardous Areas Using Drones.”
His talk will focus on how drones (UAVs) are revolutionising surveying operations by providing safe access to confined and hazardous spaces.
Looking ahead to his presentation, Mark said:
“Drone technology is transforming the way we conduct surveys in hazardous environments. By eliminating the need for personnel to enter confined spaces, we significantly reduce risk while still gathering precise data. Our recent survey of an adit at Cwm Rheidol in Ceredigion is a perfect example, and I’ll be referencing this in my talk. This dangerous lead mine drainage adit could only be safely assessed and surveyed using drones.”
Meet the Geoterra team
We’ll also have an exhibition stand at the event, where our team will be available to discuss how our drone surveying services can improve safety and efficiency.
We look forward to meeting fellow professionals, sharing insights, and contributing to discussions on the future of health and safety.
See you in Cardiff on April 2nd!
